These Pennington forceps have, in place of loops, triangles. Pennington foreceps follow the original design of surgical forceps. Unlike the original forceps design, though, these are made of durable 316L surgical stainless steel. The triangular loop allows for a larger area to grip - though whether one chooses to use these or regular forceps is more a matter of personal preference than anything else. The larger amount of skin one can grip is often helpful for surface piercings.
